01 – Dashboard overview

Dashboard overview

How to read and use the plugin main panel

The Dashboard is the first screen that appears when you open the plugin. It shows the overall operational status, shortcuts to the main areas and a quick-start sequence for first-time users. It is not a working screen — it is an orientation panel from which you decide where to go before entering campaigns or the calendar.

When to open this screen

Open the Dashboard when you need a quick overview before starting a session, when you install the plugin for the first time, or after an update to verify that the API and model are correctly configured.

This is not a screen to keep open while working. Its purpose is to orient: check the API status, choose where to go and understand the next steps. Once the configuration is stable you will move directly to Campaigns or the Calendar.

The correct procedure is to read the status chips first, then decide which area to open. Starting a campaign without verifying that the API key is configured is the most common mistake that blocks generation silently.

What’s on this page

1
Status chips
Show whether the API Key is configured, the active model and the state of automatic internal links.
2
Quick Start panel
Lists the three minimum steps to launch the first content generation.
3
Area cards
Four cards for quick access to Campaigns, Titles & Brief, Calendar and Log.
4
Action buttons
Link directly to new campaign creation and to the Settings page.

Recommended procedure on first open

Following this order avoids starting a campaign with missing or incorrect configurations.

1. Check the chips

Verify that API Key shows ‘configured’ and that the model is the expected one.

2. Read Quick Start

Follow the three listed steps if you are setting up the plugin for the first time.

3. Choose the area

Decide whether to open Campaigns, Calendar or Settings before proceeding.

4. Move on

Once everything is configured, the Dashboard serves only for quick checks, not for production work.

What each status chip means

The chips in the top-right corner of the Dashboard are the only way to know if the plugin is ready without opening Settings.

API Key

Green if the key is present, orange if missing. Without a key no generation is possible.

Model

Shows the active default model. An unsupported model causes silent errors.

Auto-links

Shows whether the plugin automatically inserts internal links in generated articles.

Campaigns card

Takes you directly to the list of existing campaigns.

Titles & Brief card

Opens the new campaign creation form with all editorial presets.

Calendar card

Opens the calendar view with all scheduled content.

Log card

Opens the real-time log of generation activity.

How to use the Dashboard quick actions

The buttons and cards on the Dashboard are shortcuts — they do not replace the sidebar menu but let you reach the most-used areas without clicking through the menu.

+ New Campaign

Opens the campaign creation form directly. Use when you already know what to create.

Open Campaigns

Goes to the full campaign list. Use to review, not to create.

Calendar

Opens the monthly view of all planned and generated content.

Settings

Takes you to the global plugin configuration page.

Common mistakes to avoid

The most common mistake is not checking the chips before starting a campaign: if the API key is missing, generation starts but fails without a clear error message. The second mistake is using the Dashboard as the main working screen instead of moving to Campaigns or Calendar immediately.

Summary

The Dashboard is a starting point and quick check: verify API and model, choose your work area and move to Campaigns, Calendar or Settings. It is not a screen to keep open during production.
