Editorial calendar
How to visually plan and manage your content publication schedule
The Editorial Calendar provides a visual overview of all content generated by the plugin, organised by publication date. It is the main screen for reviewing what is scheduled day by day, rescheduling articles, managing content status and applying bulk operations across multiple pieces of content.
When to open this screen
Open the Editorial Calendar when you want to see the content schedule for a specific month, when you need to reschedule articles to balance the publication plan, when you want to apply AI-generated tags or categories to multiple articles at once, or when you need to delete content in bulk.
The Calendar is a post-generation management tool, not a pre-generation configuration screen. Articles appear here after they have been created by the plugin. You manage what exists in the calendar; you configure what gets created in the campaign editor.
Use the month view for a high-level schedule overview, the all-articles view for filtering and sorting, and the scheduler view for adjusting publication dates across multiple articles at once.
What’s on this page
Recommended procedure for using the Editorial Calendar
A structured review of the calendar prevents publication gaps, overscheduling on certain days and articles stuck in draft status indefinitely.
1. Select the right view
Use Month view for schedule review, All articles for filtering by status or campaign.
2. Apply filters
Filter by status to find all drafts that need review, or by campaign to check a specific project.
3. Review and reschedule
Identify days that are overscheduled or empty and adjust publication dates accordingly.
4. Apply bulk actions
Select multiple articles and apply AI taxonomy, bulk deletion or status changes in one operation.
Calendar views and filtering options
Each view serves a different purpose. Knowing when to use each one makes calendar management faster and more effective.
Month view
Best for seeing publication density. Spots days with too many or too few articles at a glance.
All articles view
Best for filtering, sorting and managing individual articles. Supports search by title.
Scheduler view
Best for adjusting publication dates across multiple articles with drag-and-drop or date pickers.
Status: Draft
Articles created but not yet reviewed or scheduled for publication.
Status: Pending
Articles waiting for editorial approval before going live.
Status: Future
Articles with a future publication date — scheduled but not yet published.
Status: Published
Articles already live on the site. Visible in the calendar for reference.
Campaign filter
Shows only articles from one campaign. Essential for campaigns with high article volume.
Bulk actions available in the Editorial Calendar
Bulk actions save significant time when managing large volumes of generated content. Apply them after filtering to avoid affecting unintended articles.
Bulk delete
Moves selected articles to the WordPress trash. Only affects articles generated by the plugin.
AI suggest tags
Generates 8–12 SEO tags for each selected article using the configured AI provider.
AI suggest categories
Suggests WordPress categories for each selected article and optionally creates new ones.
Apply taxonomy
Applies the AI-suggested tags and categories to the selected articles in one click.
Bulk SEO generation
Generates meta title, meta description and schema JSON-LD for selected articles.
Common mistakes to avoid
The most common mistake is using the Calendar without filters on a large site: the unfiltered view shows hundreds of articles from all campaigns, making it hard to focus on what needs attention. A second mistake is applying bulk taxonomy before reviewing the AI suggestions — always preview suggestions before applying them.
Summary
The Editorial Calendar is where post-generation management happens. Use it to review the publication schedule, filter by status or campaign, reschedule articles to balance output and apply AI taxonomy in bulk. Think of it as the editorial desk that sits between content generation and publication.
