WordPress tags help visitors discover related content and can improve internal linking signals for SEO. AI Content Generator can generate relevant tags for each article automatically, saving you from tagging posts manually at scale.
Where tags are generated
When enabled, the plugin generates 3–8 relevant tags per post based on the article title and main topics. Tags are created in WordPress (if they don’t exist yet) and assigned to the post automatically alongside categories.
How to enable tag generation
In your campaign editor, open the Base data panel. Find the Tags field and leave it blank to let AI generate them automatically, or enter specific tags you always want applied to every post in this campaign (comma-separated).
AI-generated vs. fixed tags
You have two approaches:
- Fixed tags – enter specific tags in the campaign field; every post gets exactly those tags. Useful for brand tags or broad topic tags you always want attached.
- AI-generated tags – leave the field empty and enable tag generation in Settings; the AI picks tags based on each individual article’s content.
Tips for tag strategy
- Use AI-generated tags for content variety — each article gets unique, specific tags
- Combine fixed campaign tags (broad) with AI-generated tags (specific) for layered taxonomy
- Review tags periodically from Posts → Tags to merge near-duplicates and clean up noise
Conclusion
Automatic tag generation is a small feature with a big quality-of-life impact when you’re publishing at scale. It keeps your tag taxonomy organized and consistent without requiring any manual effort per post.
